Yun-I Cares About You ❤️

The Yun-I team is very concerned about whether the COVID-19 pandemic may affect assisted reproductive treatment.

During lunch on April 10, Director Dr. Hui-Po Li gathered the Yun-I team and invited our embryologist to explain the current recommendations from the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, ASRM, regarding the pandemic. The team also discussed Yun-I Reproductive Center’s response measures.

Yun-I’s consultants have summarized the recommendations from reproductive medicine societies in Taiwan and the United States, as well as the Centers for Disease Control, for assisted reproduction institutions and couples planning to undergo treatment:

① Reproductive centers should strictly monitor the travel history and health status of patients and staff entering the clinic. If necessary, staff may work in separate groups to avoid the entire team becoming infected. Centers may also coordinate alliances with other clinics so that patients can be referred and mutual support can be provided when needed, ensuring the continued operation of the center.

② If patients are concerned about the pandemic, they may consider retrieving eggs first, creating embryos, and freezing them. Embryo transfer can then be performed after the pandemic situation becomes more stable.

③ Individuals should follow the national CDC guidelines, take proper preventive measures, and avoid infection in order to protect themselves and others.
