Precise Embryo Placement in Difficult Transfer Cases

Embryo transfer is usually performed under ultrasound guidance after the bladder has been filled. In most cases, the process goes smoothly and can be completed within two to three minutes.

However, occasionally we encounter more difficult cases.

This morning, one patient had a large fibroid located in the lower anterior wall of the uterus, making it difficult for the embryo transfer catheter to enter.

Therefore, we used cervical forceps to straighten the lower segment of the uterus. The transfer catheter was then gradually advanced in a curved and careful manner.

In the end, we successfully completed the procedure and placed the embryo in the thickest area of the endometrium, hoping the baby will implant safely and steadily 🤱🏻
