Customizing a Healthy Baby
After giving birth to her first child, Ms. Huang had wanted to have a second child for the past 10 years.
However, due to advanced maternal age and multiple miscarriages during this period, she hoped to receive help through assisted reproduction so she could once again conceive a healthy baby.
She came to Yun-I and consulted with Dr. Li, who planned a suitable “personalized” IVF treatment for her.
Because her ovarian function was slightly low, Dr. Hui-Po Li helped her condition her eggs.
In August this year, she underwent egg retrieval, and the embryos were cultured to the blastocyst stage. Preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidy, PGT-A, was then performed.
Using the only chromosomally normal embryo for transfer, she successfully became pregnant and fulfilled her dream.
